On September 29, 2012, Community Conveyed Alternatives (CCA), www.ccamaine.com, and the Hampden Academy Key Club will be hosting the Heart of Maine Autism Fair in order to help families impacted by autism at Reeds Brook Middle School in Hampden, Maine.

       
       
   

The fair runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
(Doors open at 8:45)

Local autism expert, Andrew Kahn, Psy.D. discussing
"Practical information for parents of children with ASD"

Andrew Kahn, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist who specializes in serving pediatric clients, including high-risk children, and their families. Dr. Kahn has provided consultative, evaluative, therapeutic, and school/community-based intervention services to clients diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Dr. Kahn has co-developed an array of school-based programs for students with ASD and he provides regular consultation and training for staff in these settings. He has devised and provided a wide array of presentations for clinicians, therapists, educators, multi-disciplinary teams, and families impacted by Asperger’s Syndrome and other emotional challenges .Dr. Kahn has served as part-time instructor at the University of Maine with particular focus upon Abnormal Psychology. He earned his Psy.D. and M.S. from Nova Southeastern University and his B.S. from Syracuse University. Dr. Kahn is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists.
